Magazine

The main part of this project was the magazine itself. Created using a mix of illustrations and photographic elements all made entirely from scratch.

Mobo magazine cover and spread

Issue 1 of Mobo, a 36-page technology magazine in blue, white and black. The cover shows an illustrated hand working on a circuit board with a screwdriver. Articles: How Do Computers Work? (Numbers and Calculations), History, Peripherals (Why Qwerty?), Pen vs Keyboard (Paper or Screen?), Prebuilt vs DIY (Price and Performance), How to Build a PC (Step by Step), Storage (Petabytes and Zetabytes), Email (Positives and Negatives), Online Shopping (The Convenience), Cryptocurrency (Peer to Peer Digital Currency), Pros and Cons (Should You Use a PC?) and Internet (World Wide Web). The spreads mix long-form text with flat illustrations and close-up photos of computer hardware. Use the left and right arrow keys, or the buttons below, to turn the pages.

Online Banners

With the target audience for this magazine being primarily people interested in technology and computers, I decided to create multiple animated advertisement banners in form factor sizes to be placed on websites relating to technology.
